“HR Green is an initiative of the Hampton Roads Planning District Commission (HRPDC), which encourages environmental stewardship among all residents in the 16 southeastern Virginia cities and counties we represent. Work on the HR Green campaign began in July 2010 as we started to consolidate individual programs begun by HRPDC’s HR CLEAN, HR FOG, HR STORM and HR WET committees into one central-focused, regional awareness campaign.”

This site was a custom cms project that included WordPress tooled as a CMS, jQuery slideshows and custom navigation, along with several custom developed plugins that include:

• Online Form manager with built-in email response system
• Custom event and calendar management system
• Custom taxonomy
• Custom search functions to include events, posts, pages and custom post types
• Post expiration functions with all content, including events
• Random posts widget with images
• Custom category images and fields
